Course Outline:
This program is designed for the trades person who is being trained for both mechanical and electrical maintenance duties. The training focuses on pipefitting, HVAC, and electrical equipment and systems. This course outline can be custom assembled for the needs of any individual by adding the related study units found in the applicable subject index. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
  • Perform multi-craft tasks associated with in-plant maintenance.
  • Read shop prints and electrical blueprints.
  • Identify the tools, equipment, and skills used in Industrial plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC.
  • Understand DC and AC principles and components including motors, controllers and PLC's.
  • Install and test electrical wires, circuits, and equipment using the correct equipment, materials, and procedures for safe operation.
